A global news ad funding campaign for exposing HK police violence reached more than US $1 million in just one hour

Hong Kong police violent crackdown on protesters yesterday (11th August, 2019) has generally been criticised as akin to a terrorist attack on the level of being a war crime. Some HK citizens once again started a funding campaign today (12th August), with a target of US $1 million, to have news ads published around the world, exposing Hong Kong’s police violence. In the end, the target was exceeded in just one hour.

According to the funding campaign web site, as of 12pm today, US $1.2 million was accrued with approximately 12 thousand people having participated.

The funding campaign organiser’s first act is to have news ad published around the world on the 17th and 18th this month, in order to expose “war crimes” committed by the Hong Kong police.

With the August 31st electoral reform framework’s 5th anniversary coming up, as well as legislatures around the world holding sessions again in September, the organiser will attempt to initiate different actions to put pressure on countries to sanction the HK SAR regime’s entire cohort of having committed war crimes.

Aside from this, the funding campaign organiser also call for everyone around the world, such as friends in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Germany and Japan, to show their strength in numbers by rallying or marching on the 17th of August.
