美國總統特朗普周四（7月30日）於社交網站發炮，批評郵寄投票措施之餘，暗示應因疫情延後總統大選。
特朗普直指郵寄投票已被證明是悲劇性的災難，他指民主黨經常警告外國勢力干預選舉，但他們心知郵寄投票是被外國介入選戰的簡易途徑。
特朗普續說，郵寄投票將令2020年的大選，成為史上最不準確和不誠實的選舉，會令美國尷尬。他更反問是否將選舉延遲，直至選民能好好地、有保障地及安全地投票。
