Spanish illustrator Joan Cornellà posted on his Facebook page on 17 April that he is looking for an assistant in Hong Kong. This may not be of much significance to many, but the captivating part is in the illustration that went with the Facebook post.
The artwork showed a person taking a selfie while cars are burning up and buildings are collapsing behind him, demonstrating the one of the signature feature of Hong Kongers.
Hong Kongers have long been criticised of lacking in sense of self-protection, especially amidst accidents or breaking situations. Many often opted to take pictures with their mobile phones instead of running away or lending assistance.
